Prototype Street Light Installed

As you may have read in our newsletter, we are developing a plan to replace the obsolete street lighting system that we currently own and maintain to a new more modern system. These lights are the gray metal pole lights that only occur in a section of our community. The current plan is to upgrade worn-out electrical equipment and to replace existing lights that are at the end of their service life with a much better street light, rather than spend additional money repairing the older lights. We are also evaluating the placement of the existing lights and developing a new lighting layout that will provide light where none currently exists. This is necessary because of poor development planning when Southwind Lakes was first built. The first area that is slated for renovation is the Colorado Circle section of our community. The lighting restoration project is but one of the many projects planned to methodically improve the overall appearance of Southwind Lakes, thereby transforming it into a beautiful, well maintained Boca Raton community that we are all proud to call home.

Welcome

Welcome to the new Southwind Lakes Homeowner Association website. Before you begin exploring this website we want to let you know about a few things.

This website is designed to assist the Southwind Lakes homeowner by providing features and benefits we believe you will use.

“Resource Center” contains Southwind Lakes governing documents, financial records, minutes of previous meetings, newsletter archives, emergency preparedness information, and a resource library that will be expanding, and much more.

“Committees” contains a list of our committees PLUS “FAQs”: frequently asked questions to assist you in getting the answers you are looking for.

“Stay Connected” has news and announcements… and SOON:  a “Photo Gallery”, Calendar of Events, and a moderated forum which hopefully will stimulate the formation of activities between homeowners with like interests and much more.

“Classifieds” are provided at no cost (only for SWL homeowners!) - to sell items or provide services to fellow homeowners!

As you explore you will find that not all of the pages are ready for publication. They will be published in the days and weeks to come. Although we have tested most features, you may run into an occasional broken link or something that just does not work as you think it should. We ask for your patience and your input as we navigate our way through this startup. If you see something that does not work as it should or have a suggestion to improve a feature or improve how something currently works, please let us know. Send us your comments and suggestions to suggestions@swlhoa.com

It will take several days or more before the moderated forum or classified will be active. This is because you must be a registered user to post to the forum and advertise at no charge in the classified. Both features are just some of the many benefits this website is intended to provide the members of our association. And speaking of registration we have employed a system that we believe will provide you with the maximum security (click button to register).Register

It is essential that we achieve account security so that it is in place when we launch the second phase of this site, your ability to access, review and pay your assessment fees online. You do not need to complete the registration process to access most of the features of this website or to sign up to receive the newsletter electronically. Simply enter your information and you will be added to our roster to receive the requested information. If you are having any technical difficulties please contact us at webmaster@swlhoa.com

It is our hope that this website shall be a canvas to be written upon by all of those who live in Southwind Lakes and take the time to visit here. We believe that the information found on this website, the continual addition of quality content and the posting of up to date information will keep this site an informative, relevant and interesting destination for you to return to time and again.
